Smooth Streaming for Adobe Flash 10.1

Adaptive HTTP Streaming
The Smooth Streaming Provider (our plugin for JW Player 5) uses the same technique when compared to Silverlight's Smooth Streaming and iPhone's Adaptive Streaming. The player monitors a viewer's available bandwidth and CPU capabilities in real-time and adapts to deliver the best video than can be received at the time.
On the below screenshots you can see that the stream is available at six different bitrates (2042, 1340, 878, 571, 370 and 236 Kbits/second). Real-time statistics like rendered frames-per-second (green), dropped frames-per-second (blue) and the clients available bandwidth (yellow) are tracked.
The quality level is denoted by the red line. You can see that when the movie begins, playback starts at the lowest quality, but quickly climbs to the highest bitrate available.
